What is the minimum attendance required to appear for end module exams?

Minimum 85% attendance is required to appear for the end module exams, but we advise not to miss any classes, as we have an intense course structure.

What are the class timings?

Classes are held from 9:30am to 11:30am and 5:00pm to 7:00pm on weekdays as well as weekends except Sundays and public holidays. Detailed schedule will be announced at the time of closing admissions.

What is the duration of a single class lecture?

A single class duration is 40min. to 1hr.20min as per the module.

How are exams conducted online?

Exams are conducted online and is divided into two parts: Part 1 is MCQs and Part 2 is descriptive and/or, studio in nature. Students are required to scan and upload answer sheets within a strict time frame along with a non-edited video file with sounds on. Details of exams will be conveyed to the students before the exam date.

Can any student resume a course after discontinuation?

We consider extreme cases and that too within a grace time period provided by our faculties.

INTERIOR LIGHTING: 3 MONTHS

Principles of light and colour, human perception, types of light sources and fixtures, layers of lighting, lighting design process, integrating day lighting with artificial lighting, illumination calculations.

INTERIOR SURFACE FINISHES AND CLADDING: 3 MONTHS

Material properties, application techniques, aesthetics, sustainability and relevant architectural standards for paints, plaster, tiles, drylining, paneling, ceilings and other surfaces. Colour theory, aesthetics and material selection process.

VASTU APPLICATIONS: 3 MONTHS

History, principles, five elements and their significance in modern design. Directional analysis, room/ space placements, furniture arrangements, colour schemes and material selection.

INTERIOR FLOORING: 3 MONTHS

Design principles, material knowledge (types, properties and applications), drafting skills, installation techniques, costing, budget, safety and codes.

INTERIOR FURNITURE: 3 MONTHS

Design principles, space planning, material and colour theory, lighting design basics, specialized furniture design skills with ergonomics and prototyping.

INTERIOR COST ESTIMATION: 3 MONTHS

Understanding project drawings, performing quantity take-offs, rate analysis for materials and labour, preparing BOQs, market rate study and managing waste.

INTERIOR SITE SUPERVISION: 3 MONTHS

Site planning, design interpretation, material management, health and safety regulations, quality control, labour coordination, documentation, understanding clients requirements and site conditions and managing vendors.

INTERIOR CAD: 3 MONTHS

Layers, blocks, dimensioning and editing tools, modification techniques, project works.

INTERIOR PHOTOGRAPHY: 3 MONTHS

Architectural principles, camera set up, equipment composition, natural and artificial lighting techniques and basic post editing skills.
